This will work better if the reaming and the threading are separate steps. I bought two tools and ground off the threads so that I can ream the hole as the first step. Unfortunetly, the inserts are backordered and will be delivered some time in the future. Read full review

This tool is sturdy but it is not long enough to fit over the long OEM boots on my 1998 Ford Explorer 4.0 SOHC engine. The 5 3/4 inch L is the overall length of the folded steel.
