Excellent! I bought this as a replacement for the Broan 655-A that I installed in the early 90's. I did not have to remove the old unit from the ceiling. Just removed the grill, took out the fan motor and the heater unit (2 screw each), and popped in the new components taken from the new 655. Amaz... Read full review

We have a much older version of this fan (from the mid-80s I'm guessing). The fan had stopped running and there was a lot of dust caked around the heater, making it impossible to use without stink. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this works and how quiet it is. It moves a noticeably larger volume of air than my previous fan. It was a breeze (pun intended) to install. It works so well in fact, I'm going to order another one for my other bathroom.Read full review

Needed to retofit 30 year old unit and didn't want to have to do any drywall work. The previous unit's heating element went out (cost to replace element was $65, new Broan 655 was $54 plus shipping).
