- Shutters open automatically when fan is activated. Frame is G-90 galvanized steel. 26-ga. mill-finish aluminum louvers are felted on leading edge for quiet operation. Nylon bushings and stainless steel pivot pins. Max. velocity: 2000 fpm. 9/32" x 1/2" mounting holes.

Fan Shutter
Tuesday, July 05, 2011The fan shutter is a good product. The shutters that open and close are made of aluminum. The frame is galvanized steel which will stop the rust. My old shutter frame was not galvanized and it rusted. This one is better quality. The outside of the frame is 23" x 23". The shutter area is 20" x 20". The shutters have a felt on them to seal the air out. My order came fast and was exactly what I wanted. I would buy another one. I have used drillspot company before and I have not had any problems .
Galvanized steel frame and aluminum shutters to stop rust.
Can not think of any improvements.
