Pressure Switch Review
Wednesday, October 03, 2012This is 95-125psi, 30psi pressure differential switch with a separate electrical cut-out switch. Though it says in the information leaflet that, This switch does not have a adjustable pressure differential” at the same time it also says “Check switch operation after resetting” and another statement under Range Adjustment: Turn the range nut (A) clockwise for higher cut-in and cut-out. Turn it counterclockwise for lower cut-in and cut-out. It was cutting at 140-145 psi and not at 125 psi as it should. I adjusted the range nut (A) i.e. turned it counterclockwise but in reality it is not adjustable and it is still trying to cut-out the compressor at 140-142 psi. The compressor still stays on unnecessarily for a very long time.

Pumptrol Compressor Switch
Tuesday, February 14, 2012Had an old oil-less pancake compressor that was constantly bleeding air causing the motor to stay on. Spoke to Drill Spot sales and Square D techs and they recommended replacement of Pumptrol. After playing around for 45 min, it's still bleeding air but motor waits till pressure drops to lower level before kicking in.
Drill spot has no real tech support. I had to call square D. After a long-winded conversation, they said the problem is probably with the check valve. Isn't the check valve on their product?

Found What I Needed at Drillspot

Thursday, September 23, 2010This is a perfect replacement switch for our old Ingersoll-Rand air compressor. This compressor is in continuous daily use so the pressure switch is getting a good workout. I installed it about three months ago and the contacts still look like new and the cut in/out pressures have not drifted. We also use a Square D pressure switch on our well pump and it works flawlessly so I expect many years of trouble free service from this switch as well.
Excellent quality of construction. Established Brand. Good price. Fast delivery. Great service from Drillspot. Will shop again and recommend.
