Taylor Rain GaugeMonday, May 30, 2011
I have used this gauge before. Needs replacement every three to five years or sooner if you let the water in it freeze.
Easy visibility from a distance.
Color and markings should be more resistant to fading.
It's a rain gauge.Monday, May 09, 2011
It's a poly carbonate rain gauge.
The graduations are big enough that I can read it from about 50 feet away with a pair of binoculars. Very good service from DrillSpot.
it would be a whole lot better if it didn't have on the back of the card it came on "do not let freeze", so I guess melted snow shouldn't get measured. Not one in a hundred people will remember to bring it in or empty it after EVERY precip event during the winter.
