Nice Lead-free Tee For An Expansion Tank
Saturday, December 17, 2011I'm using this to attach an expansion tank to a run of 3/4" cold water piping leading to my water heater. Since the expansion tank will be removed from time to time to adjust its pressure, I like that this tee is good and heavy, one piece instead of using a CxCxC tee and a CxF adapter. It's got "NSF-61-8" stamped on the stem, and was made in Mexico. A little lighter in color than the picture indicates. The solder cups and threads are clean. The only downside I can see to using this is that the body of the tee between the solder cups is rather rough compared to a copper tee, but that's expected with cast brass.
