Expanded Metal - Perfect Belt Guard

This was a pleasant find here at the old Drillspot! This was the perfect mesh size and weight for a belt guard to finish off my compressor re-fit. Not wanting the plastic belt guard that came with the compressor, I opted to use 1/4 inch x 2 inch flat bar stock for the rim and this expanded metal was used for the front. It came in a giant flat envelope made of cardboard and stitched on three sides with twine. You should buy one - if for no other reason but to see how it is shipped ! I really did not know where I could have purchased this item without needing to drive 100 miles. Drillspot came thru on this one! I would recommend this for anyone needing some medium weight expanded metal. Tip for those who would be working with this metal - it's sharp - wear heavy gloves and hit it with some emery cloth - it only takes a couple of minutes (unless you want that razor finish).

Easy to work with, shinny new metal not crummy old rusty stuff that's been laying around in the weeds for 10 years
