Great Price, Mediocre Merchandise
Tuesday, September 27, 2011The price was excellent and the shipping free. The part arrived very quickly, in one or two days after I ordered. However after using the item for a few weeks the knob started spinning freely around the diverter valve, failing to operate it. Removal of the knob yielded that the raised portion of the casting designed to grip the valve had worn away, allowing the knob to spin freely around the valve. This is my second recent bad experience in ordering replacement parts for household goods over the Internet (though just the first with drillspot). I'm not sure the quality of such parts is up to par.
Deeper grooves in the part of the casting designed to grip the valve the knob is supposed to turn.
