Description
- Heating elements are wound around steel spools, creating large reservoirs of heat to run longer seams, solder large joints, and have quicker thermal recovery. High top-end temps. make irons suitable for lead-free soldering. Heavy-duty and Ergo irons have hardwood handles that provide thermal and electrical insulation. Pencil irons have plastic handles and plug-style tips for superior heat transfer. Ergo irons have a near 90 angle in the casing to reduce stress on hands and wrists.
