This submersible sump pump is designed to work as both a sump pump or portable utility pump. Built with long lasting corrosion-resistant engineered resin. The Flotec Floodmate replaces any existing float switch submersible sump pump. Capable of pumping up to 7,000 gallons per hour, the Flotec FP0S6000A is for use with fourteen inch and larger sump basins.

Powerful Pump
Friday, September 16, 2011After a lot of searching, I finally came upon this model. I really didn't want cast iron as it is used as a seasonal shallow well water pump. I connected it up with a 16 ft lift and it blew a clamped connection apart on the first turn-on as I reduced the 1-1/2 in discharge to a hose connection at ground level. After tightening the connection the pump runs two sprinklers. I wasn't sure I needed the 3/4 hp but I wasn't sure a 1/2 hp pump would provide enough output for the 16 ft lift as a previous 1/2 hp pump barely ran one sprinkler. Great little pump and can't beat the lifetime guarantee. There were some negative reviews on some Flotec's but my pump is running flawlessly.
