So Far, Working Great
Tuesday, April 24, 2012While the installation instructions make this seem a bit intimidating to install, I was able to get it going on my single heat/cool system pretty easily. The manual actually doesn't show you an example of how to do this basic of an install, but it is possible. Just line up the wires from your old install. For me, my older thermostat did not require power so I had to connect an extra wire to run for the common so that the thermostat could get 24v. After that, the thing lit up and has worked great since. It is a BREEZE to program on the touch screen master unit. The remote control/sensor was exactly what I was looking for. We have a 3 story house with only one heat/cool system and the thermostat was on the middle floor. So, at night, our bedroom was often hotter than was comfortable. Now, with the remote sensor, we can carry it into any room we want (our bedroom, our basement, upstair office, etc.) and tell the system to set the temp exactly based on where the sensor is. PERFECT.
Great Thermostat Once You Get One That Works
Tuesday, March 06, 2012Attractive color screen, accurate measurements, easy to use. Had the first one not arrived defective and had to be sent back to Honeywell for replacement, the thermostat would have received 5 stars. However, Drillspot's customer service was excellent, they made the return and exchange very easy, and their price was the best I could find on the internet.
Ease of use and HD display
Quality control, the first unit blew two fuses in my furnace. The replacement unit is working perfectly
