I bought three of these thermostats and wired them up and flipped the circuit breaker.All powered up just fine installed early summer 2012. Went back in September to check on them and one was blank.Measured voltages and supply is present. Blank screen. Will now have to order another.

LineVoltPro 8000 - a Honey of a...Well..thermostat

An affordable programmable line volt thermostat that can handle ceiling or baseboard heat? UNHEARD OF! That is, until Honeywell gave us this product. This t-stat does everything you really need it to do including having "Early Start" and manual overide modes. Say you get up at 6am. Early start will have the room to the temperature you require AT 6am rather than just turning the heat on at 6am. Nice feature. At its current price, these things should pay for themselves in a couple of seasons. I can NOT address how well they work as I installed them in August. If they turn out poorly, I WILL let you all know. Western Ohio winters have their own special way of testing heating products! lol

An Engineers Brief Summary

Fantastic! Easy to install, just make sure the power is off, this ain't 120V. If you are stuck with line voltage electric heat, this could save a lot of money over a short period of time.

Just What I Needed

This was just what I needed for my condo. I live in a 50 year old building that has double pole line voltage baseboard heating (if that made sense). It's not easy to find a programmable, let alone digital thermostat of this type in stores. Drillspot had the lowest price, even after shipping costs. Love the product, has a nice simple design and green glowing backlight. I ordered a second one recently (I didn't want to order 2 in the case they didn't work, in which case I would've saved on shipping). This was my first time shopping at Drillspot and would definitely shop here again!

Solid Product

I just purchased two of these units, to bring my total count up to three. I have used one for a year now, and it works flawlessly. I purchased two more identical to it, that way I don't get confused how they operate. They are simple to use, easy to get to shortcuts, and have a great display. I really like the temp display on it (my old mechanical ones did not have that). They can be set to bring the temperature up to the preset temp by the set time or it can be set to simply start heating at that time. Installation was simple (if you know wires & trust yourself at 240V). All in all, I could not be happier with it!

Amazing Savings

We bought these thermostats to replace generic ones we purchased at our local home improvement store. The clerk wasn't interested in directing us to the best product. After one winter, we knew we had to do something drastic or we wouldn't be able to heat our home affordably. Well Made Product, Limited Programming Choices

The Honeywell LineVoltPro 8000 programmable Thermostat worked great. I installed it myself with some help from a website that instructs you on what LINE and LOAD mean. I used a volt meter to help determine. It was easy to install and setup the programming. My only negative was the limited choices with programming. There are only 2 temp settings (day / night). All your day / time programmings can only use these 2 temp settings. I'd rather be able to set night for 63. Mornings to 69, late mornings to 67, afternoons back up to 69. If you are ok with just two temps then this will work great. This type of thermostat is for electric baseboard heat. Its can handle 240v power.

Great T-stat

T-stat works great. It was easy to install as I was only replacing an older unit (a different brand) that was defective. The directions were very easy to follow and set up was easy. I really enjoy the programable features and the digital display. It is very quiet. The display lights up if adjusting in a dark or dim room. Drillspot shipped the unit quickly and unit arrived in a very sturdy and well packaged box. I would recommend them to anyone.

Four Wire Product

This for a four wire setup, while mine is two wire. I missed it in the details. It will cost me not only the return postage, but they charge a 15% restocking fee. I don't think I will buy from this site again because of this policy. I have not run in to this old practice in a long time.

Great Item, Excellent Service!

This product is great! It does everything I hoped it would, is easy to use, and it only took me about 20 minutes to install. I would recommend to anyone looking for a 7 day programmable thermostat. The only problem I could forsee is if the power went out I would need to spend time re-programming. But hey, that's only negative to us lazy people :)

Great Thermostat

This thermostat is excellent. It controls the temperature of my radiant-heat ceiling with much more precision than my old unit, and installation was a breeze (once I found the wiring diagram on the back of the unit). The manual's wiring diagram is not as clear. The controls are clear and easy to use. This unit also looks great on the wall!

Great Buy So Far

I ordered 3 of these for my condo. They arrived a day earlier than the initial fedex delivery date showed. They are compact and smaller than I pictured--which was a good thing. My father who is an electrician installed them and also thought they are 'nifty'. I haven't actually had to use them yet so I can't fully review on how well they work.

Finding baseboard digital thermostats is hard! I am so glad I found this great model. It looks great, is easy to use and works like a charm. Quality construction, great interface

After purchasing two of these units earlier this this year, we just had to have another one. Our first two have the Aube name on it instead of Honeywell, but it's the same unit. We have an older home that has been converted into short term lodging - like a B&B but without the "breakfast" We call it a B&K (guests have kitchen privileges). We wanted an easier way to manage the individual room electric baseboard heaters than traditional manually operated dial thermostats located on the actual baseboard heaters. It required some additional wiring to install the new thermostats at an acceptable height and across the room from the heaters, but the results are terrific and well worth the extra work/expense. The thermostat's interface is better than the programmable "Honeywell" thermostats in our home. Lots of flexibility, back-lighting for easy viewing, temporary over-rides and it's easy to program. Since some of our rooms are not occupied for several days at a time, we especially like the "vacation" mode that provides an over-ride to the daily program. I'm sure the payback is very quick, and the added convenience is priceless. Even the guests have remarked on how easy they are to operate and the quality look/feel. These are not cheap looking, flimsy stats. They are nice looking, quality design and fabrication.

This is a wonderful thermostat for baseboard heaters. It has all the functionality that I need and doesn't require seperate batteries to operate. Once it is programmed you rarely need to think about it. I will be buying more in the future to replace all of my thermostats with this one!

Good for what's available

It's a good choice for an electric programmable thermostats. Doesn't have as many choices/settings as my oil heat programmable. I'm not sure how accurate it is-I have one next to the oil heat thermostat. The electric reads 65 and the oil heat reads 69. I bought four.

Works Well with Some Restrictions

Installation was fairly straightforward once the two 120 volt lines are identified. Be careful that your existing circuit box (for remodels) has room for this device as it has a large footprint and will compete with the wires for box space. Once installed this device has work as advertised. It is very nice to wake up to a room that has been warmed. Only minor drawback has been the two temperature restriction that others have mentioned. While you get 4 heating periods per day - you only get two temperatures to set the time periods two which is unlike furnace controls that I've used in the past where each zone can be set to a unique temperature. Given the lack of options for radiant heat systems, I'm very happy with this unit.

Great Product!

This product seems to work the way I want. The only drawback would be if you wanted to program different temps. for different days. I wasn't able to determine how to do it. However, it works great for my needs, as I only need one low temp and one high -- the same for all days. Easy to install--just remember to determine the line and the load in stat box. Great service. Stat arrived in 2 business days!

Not Perfect But Fairly Good

There aren't many programmable line voltage thermostats to choose from and I chose this one as closest to what I wanted. The Lux thermostat doesn't share the cons but its lack of a backlight killed it for me. A good combination of the two would be perfect. This thermostat has only two programmable temperatures, which is not a problem for me.

I bought and installed 4 in my house. I just ordered 2 more to finish the rest of the house. Pretty easy to install yourself and makes heating your house a lot of efficient instead of using the old turn knobs. Great Stat!

Just what we needed for our condo with electric baseboard heaters. No more having to remember to turn down the heat at night or getting up to cold rooms! Best There Is

I believe this to be the best programmable digital thermostat for line voltage heaters currently available. We installed them in every room of the house to control our Cadet register heaters. This is the second home we have used these in. Not cheap, but competitively priced considering what you get.

Easy to Use, Easy to Install, Great Honeywell Quality

I have installed a few Honeywell thermostats by now and they are always good quality with tons of easy to use features, which is what made me buy this one. The price is very good and the hookup is a piece of cake for even a novice. I used this to replace the old "comfort zone" thermostat in our master bedroom, which was pretty much worthless for attaining a certain temperature. Now I can set the temperature or put things on automatic mode and know that the room will be comfortable, without wasting a lot of electricity. DrillSpot also did an excellent job getting this to me quickly; I have it within 2 business days of my order.

LineVoltPRO 8000 Line Voltage Thermostat

This is a great fully programmable thermostat that operates from line voltage (no batteries needed) that I could find online. It has a cool package with hidden buttons for the user interface which is also intuitive. The button on the outside illuminates the backlight with a nice green glow. Has day, date, time and temperature reading on the display, as well as the state of the thermostat - home, away, sleeping, and awake. Drillspot had the best price and delivery was in 1 day. I couldn't believe it when it came the day after placing the order!

Best So Far

I found it easy to wire, probably due to the fact that I was replacing a Honeywell thermostat. I did have to read the instructions for programming a few times to get that part right though. Seems to be very accurate, even in sub zero weather. This is the 3rd thermostat I have tried over the years and is by far the best. I have it in my master bedroom.

Works perfectly!

I don't have much more to say than what has already been said: the thermostat works perfectly as advertised. Plus, the thermostat was drop-shipped quickly from a Grainger warehouse just a few miles from my house. I'm not sure how it happened, but I ordered on a Saturday and I received it on the following Monday!

So Easy to Install

I bought several different thermostats and returned them all because they weren't compatible with my Cadet heating system. Finally I found this one which was the best and easiest to install. I have a 4 wire system and install took a total of 15 minutes. This system is especially nice if you had a standard thermostat before because the mounting holes line right up with a vertical thermostat and bolted right in. This is a great deal first off, because Drillspot has the lowest price on the net, and I received it in 1 business day! Honeywell is a trustable brand and this device has good reviews everywhere. After installing it, I have to agree it is not only very attractive but 7-day programmable is great and it can be completely turned off when you are away unlike analog thermostats. Much more accurate than our old analog unit and it displays the current room temp which is handy. The backlight is green so it matches our GFCI's and home security system, too! Greatest Line Voltage Thermostat!!!!

Unbelievable energy savings. Not only is it programmable it has 5 intensities of heat in 20% increments which improves savings that much more. My old thermostats were on or off and had to guess what temperature they were set at (Hi, Low and "comfort zone"). Once I got the wiring of the first one it was a breeze for the rest. Now I have 13 and my winter energy bills are significantly lower paying for the cost of the units 10 fold

Best thermostat for Baseboard Heaters

It took me a little while to install because I am not an electrician and this t-stat has 4 wires and my old one had only 2. The preprogrammed settings were perfect for me, I didn't have to change anything. Check with your energy company for rebate checks. I have sent in receipts that have given me $50 in rebates for the 2 units that I have purchased.

Electric Heat Thermostat

We have electric heat throughout our house, a pain turning up & down thermostats (10 in all in house, morning/night). These are 4 wire & after the wiring up the 1st one, have installed 6 now in house. Can work with 3 wires or 4 (haven't tried 2 yet). Programming is easy & flexible so you can adjust the default settings. I'd thoroughly recommend these for anyway with electric baseboard heaters & I await my savings in heating costs...which is one of the key drivers here.
