- Feature materials and finishes that provide minimum friction. Outer race is high-carbon chrome bearing steel, hardened and ground; inner race is low-carbon alloy steel, carburized and case hardened on raceway area. Full complement needle rollers are made from high-carbon chrome bearing steel, hardened, ground, and lapped. Stud Type models are for loads and shock that are moderate. Heavy Stud Type is for applications with high loads and/or heavy shock and where deflection is low. Crowned versions are used where track or cam may impart excessive thrust loading on bearing due to misalignment. Yoke Type features an inner race made for shaft or clevis mounting. Stainless Steel models are made from 440 stainless steel for increased corrosion resistance.
