- Note: Residential (Single Family Dwelling) Warranty only For as long as the original purchaser of the water heater owns the home and does not move the water heater, manufacturer will replace water heater if tank fails. If home is sold, the tank is warranted for 15 yr. from date of manufacture. Remainder of 15-yr. warranty will transfer to second owner. Parts are warranted for 5 yr. from effective date or 6 yr. from date of manufacture, whichever is greater.
