Nice unit, but DrillSpot didn't tell me about the other required parts
Thursday, October 25, 2012The product is very nice.... however, be aware that you still need the EIM (Electronic Interface Module), which connects between the Thermostat and the Furnace/devices..... as well as the RedLink Router in order to connect all pieces/sensors together. Since was upgrading from a lower Honeywell model, which had all these components wrapped inside one unit. Having to purchase these other 2 pieces bumped up my price 2 fold from the original price. Overall everything turned out nice and connected on the first attempt.
I like the ease of installation and the colorful screen output.
A tad bit more information on the installation of the EIM and options while in the initial setup.
