Hydrometers
- Hydrometers are individually serialized; test11ed and calibrated by the manufacturer; and supplied with a multilanguage statement of accuracy. Calibrated floats feature metal ballasts. The instruments are designed to determine standard parameters and a variety of special applications for a wide range of liquids. Select API for petroleum products; ASTM for conformance to E100 and E126; Specific Gravity to determine density compared to water; Sugar or Brix for % weight of sucrose; Baume for syrups and other liquids denser than water; Alcohol, Proof, or Ethyl Alcohol Proof for % ethyl alcohol; Calcium Chloride for % saturation, specific gravity, or freezing point of CaCl2; Isopropyl Alcohol for % by volume; and Soil Analysis for specific gravity of soil.
