10 Gallon Rubbermaid BruteWednesday, August 03, 2011
I am using this product for a different purpose than what it was probably intended. It is used as a "primary fermentation" container for homemade wine. The 10 gallon size is just right for a six gallon batch of homemade wine. It was very difficult to find this size of Rubbermaid "BRUTE" container in my local stores. They had plenty of the bigger (45 and 32 gallon) sizes, but did not have the 10 gallon size. I have been making homemade wine for years and have been using a 12 gallon earthenware crock. Presently, the 12 gallon crock is more valuable as an antique, than a "primary fermenter", so I began to look for an alternative. This product works very well.
