I work in a large nursing facility and am responsible for the stripping/waxing of all the common areas in the building and use this backpack on all my wax jobs. It works very well for keeping wax off the baseboards and lays a nice even coat down. The only downside is the coats tend to be rather thin unless you keep the flow of wax almost constant from the backpack which causes it to need to be refilled fairly often, due to this I only use the backpack to outline my perimeter areas and fill in the center with a finish mop, it still works great.
Saves me from stripping my baseboards and keeps wax buildup on edges and corners to a minimum
Bladder bags could be slightly larger and applicator pads need to last longer
Great ProductMonday, December 05, 2011
We have been using this equipment for almost 2 years at my hospital and has worked great. Very simple to use and very simple to maintain. My project guys also like it because they can do the job faster and with the click of a button wax goes on the floor versus them bending over to apply the wax themselves. One thing to keep in mind is to always clean the equipment after using especially run hot water down the hose or the wax will clog the hose and this is exactly what it did to one of our bags now I need to find a replacement hose for it and don't think that will be a problem.
We can do the job faster and easy to use
Ideas how to keep the hose from getting clogged up
Used it With Over 100 GallonsTuesday, August 03, 2010
I don't know what the other guy was thinking when he reviewed this. Dude, you just gotta know what you are doing and make sure you keep your equipment clean. I've used the same bags over and over and over again. No problems. I work at a major institution and I prefer this system over any other. The only negative is that the bags are hard to fill without a pal helping out. The other reviewer must be some kind of simpleton, because I find I can do a massive floor in half the time of a conventional floor system. Good stuff!
Hard to fill by one's self
Unit SucksMonday, March 17, 2008
The whole idea of buying this unit was to do large areas with greater speed. The stupid bags clogs after a couple of fills and I'm tired buying new bags for every job. The holes in the bag outlet are too small and get clogged with the slightest bit of wax and you can't get them clean.
The wand works
The bags clogs
