replacement for 14 year old honeywell humidifier
Tuesday, November 13, 2012Bought this to replace the stuck-closed original valve on my 14 year old honeywell humidifier. Installed just like the original, works perfectly. Wish it was cheaper, but hopefully it'll be another 14+ years before this one breaks.
seems like it should be cheaper considering an entire brand new humidifier setup is only $60 more.

Tuesday, March 13, 2012This replaced the OEM solenoid on my Honeywell humidifier perfectly. It's been running without issue for about two weeks. The only knock is that when the solenoid fires, it makes a loud clack, louder than the OEM part. But not a big deal.

Tuesday, January 24, 2012The Honeywell furnace humidifier I bought is a great product except for the water solenoid valve assembly. The first time it went out, the cost of the solenoid was almost as much as buying another humidifier. This I did, and took the solenoid of the new unit and installed it on the old. It worked for one season only, and then became stuck open, so water was running through the humidifier 24/7. Since then the price has gone down, so I bought the replacement part from Drillspot.com, and found the replacement part to be more robust than the original. Only time will tell if this will last more than one winter.
Heavier duty than the original, and actuates with a louder snap, indicating to me that it has a more robust solenoid
The wire leads should be about twice as long or longer. The original wires were about 18" long, and these were less than half that
