Use nonconductive plastic laminate tops in higher voltage applications where static electricity is not a problem. Nonconductive laminate surface prevents accidental grounding of electrified components for a safer work environment. Use ESD almond solid color laminate tops for sensitive, low-voltage electronic work. ESD tops are designed to dissipate static electricity buildup, to ground at a controlled rate of 105 to 109 ohms/square, reducing component failure.

Not so great
Friday, April 15, 2011For the price, I expected more. The paint did not match in places, scratches were touched up with alternate paint. The outlets had to be wired up from nothing...takes quite some time. There were parts that were not part of the setup, and the instruction were not helpful. Doors did not alight properly, hard to close. I would go elsewhere if you want a quality workbench.
