Extremely accurate if maintained properly
Tuesday, February 22, 2011I have to say, these electrodes work extremely well if you follow the instructions to the letter. If not used properly, you'll in for a huge disappointment as this is a very sensitive device. Rinse thoroughly with distilled water between every measuring and before you put it in the appropriate electrode storage solution. It should be stored in that solution at all times when not in use. I've been using it for checking pH in somewhat loamy soil and I've found I don't really have to clean it with the Hanna cleaning solution so long as always rinsed thoroughly with distilled water.
Intuitive calibration instructions and large screen. 2 point calibration (7.01 & 4.01, recommend the packaged "satchets".)
electrode is finnicky if not kept well maintained.
