- 304 stainless steel is a chromium nickel material that offers very good corrosion resistance. 316 stainless steel has a higher nickel content, as well as molybdenum, for better corrosion resistance. Use with Schedule 80 stainless steel pipe for applications with air, water, natural gas, and steam.
- Threads conform to ASME B1.20.1 NPT. Materials conform to ASTM A182. Dimensions conform to ASME B16.11.
- Max. pressure for fittings, except unions: (304 SS) 2570 psi WOG at 100 F, 1965 psi at 400 F steam; (316 SS) 3000 psi WOG at 100 F, 2810 psi at 350 F steam Max. pressure for unions only: (304 SS) 2915 psi WOG at 100 F, 1905 psi at 400 F steam; (316 SS) 2915 psi WOG at 100 F, 2080 psi at 400 F steam
