Reed Prince points
Tuesday, April 12, 2011The screwdriver bits are nice and the service was great, but they are not Reed Prince. They look like regular phillips to me.
correct identity.
wrong bit
Monday, November 15, 2010I always felt that most people do not understand the difference between Reed-Prince and Phillips tips, the tips that were sent to me do not qualify as Reed-Prince, the tip is supposed to be tapered at a 45 degree angle not at a 28 degree angle commonly used for Phillips. The main purpose of the 'different' angle is thought to be better torque and tightening characterists; the main application usually aircraft because of vibration. Anyhow the bits I received WOULD NOT fit the screws in a small pellet gun which according to the manufacturer are Reed-Prince because of the recoil induced when firing the .177 cal pellet.
it will work on all Phillips screw application I have
The tips would comply with known mechanical standards for Reed-Prince screws
