- Dependable systems are designed to handle the rated load in tension and compression applications. Belt-driven models use adjustable reed limit switches and have a stainless steel translating tube. Gear-driven actuators use geared limit switches or clutches, and have a zinc-plated translating tube. 12VDC models are permanent magnet design. 115VAC thermally protected actuators have 60-Hz permanent split capacitor motors.

LS35 Actuator
Monday, May 02, 2011Speed of shipping was absolute awesome. Speed of the actuator seemed to be slower than advertised. In addition the documentation indicated that this actuator came with a limit switch....which it did. Little did I know that it was not user adjustable. Had to add an external limit switch to make it work with my application. Lastly, the motor/gear box is too noisy. On the plus side, the power seemed to be very good, as it lifted the test load with ease. Drillspot was excellent....not sure I'd buy another Duff Norton actuator. Or, it could be that you get what you pay for....just didn't care to spend a grand.
