Doubly Disappointed
Tuesday, September 04, 2012From the description this seemed like a good solution to keep my music studio himidity controlled. The humidistat on my humidifier was not acurate enough to maintain steady himidity at 45% which is what I need to keep my grand piano stable and easy to tune. The first unit that I purchased measured room humidity correctly but would not send power to the humidifier, regardless of the setting. I purchased a second unit from another supplier in the hope that the first was simply part of a defective batch but the second one was also defective, sending power at widely varying humidity levels regardless of the setting. I had to return both. I cannot recommend that anyone purchase this item.

Tuesday, April 24, 2012Works well, cycles on and off as desired. Runs a medium size, portable swamp cooler used as a humidifier.
Handles in excess of 4 amps, in my case a 1/4 hp light duty motor and small water pump
Kind of hard to see the read-out, but not all that necessary once dialed for comfort. Since it is small and not very complicated it should be sold for less

Tuesday, January 31, 2012Works exactly as I had hoped it would. I was surprised to find that this was the only such product I could find online. It works extremely well and the hygrometer/sensor is quick to respond. Works perfectly for an orchid-arium that my wife has set up in our living room.
Failed After A Few Days
Wednesday, January 04, 2012Mine was shipped by UPS to my house. It worked fine for a few days, then failed. Regardless of how the control is set, it will not turn on the humidifier and the display is blank. I think that I found what the problem is; the label says, "Made in China." Because the humidifier runs when plugged into the outlet without the control, I an quite certain that the problem is with the control.
It is a convenient way to control a humidifier
It could be designed to be reliable so that it wouldn't fail after only a few days of use

Wednesday, December 21, 2011We're using this with a V150SG Vicks Steam Guard Vaporizer and now no longer have to worry about over-humidifying the room. Not only will this help avoid causing mildew, it also means we have to refill the humidifier less often.
