BEAT EXPECTATIONS!Monday, January 21, 2013
I was given one of these boxes about 6 or so years ago. Wasnt really sure what I was going to do with it, until I decided to use it as a family disaster go box. It has been filled with sleeping bags for two adults and two teens, enough 16oz bottles for everyone for more then a week, a 15lb box of canned goods 2 first aid kits for both basic needs such as band-aides and cotton balls, the second is another Stanley tool chest with full trauma kit, such as what would be in mass cassuality situations. It holds flashlights batteries, and communications gear from basic cb radio to FRS GMRS and Amateur radio HF-UHF 2 laptops, solar panels and an exterior mounted table top that slips into the 2 2x4 slots, (this is removable), attached to the out side are some 2.5 inch ID steel tubes mounted veertical to accomidate an antenna mast of 33 feet. all of this fits nicely in this box, though the smaller tool chext is often seprated from box for advance situations. One down side to this box is that it is not water tight wich can be easily fixed with a quick wrap of duck tape around lid to seal this. As well as this does not fit well in most auto trunks and while it fits the back seat of a mazda 626, it is a pain to get in and out. The wheels have not given me any issues when loaded with nearly 1 ton on lid surface with box closed( extreme testing for my needs. I suspect this box would shatter on a impact if dropped from to great a height while packed. My wife and I are not preppers just realistic about basic needs in case of emergency, as this is what we teach also in the American Red Cross to which we volunteer.
capacity, and the clip board with removable tray, wheels and extendable handle for easy carry of heavy items
rubber gasket around lid for a water tight seal or at least strong enough to buff the rain when driving upon cross country trip in Wintertime.

Perfect for shipping usps parcel post as it comes in just under 1 inch of maximum size. Used it to ship supplies over to soldiers in middle east. Just load it up to 70 lbs and you have a perfect shipping box.
Sturdy, Locks, wheels, Good price.
Lock is little flimsy but better than most and you can add your own to the handles. Although the holes that are provided don't allow for a lock too large. It's just to keep the honest, honest and that's it.

This is an extremely handy product for use around the barn. It makes a great tack trunk, since it is large enough to stash away most of those things that just keep wanering off. If you don't have too much other junk, you can tuck away your jumping saddle, too. Easy to move around when it is time to clean up.
Latches are a bit weak. My right latch was bent in transit - but DrillSpot rectified the situation immediately!

I love this Mobile Tool kit. I own Three horses and I compete in recognized shows around my region with USEA. This box is the Perfect Tack Trunk. it holds my grooming kit, braiding kit, bridles, saddle pads, girths, treats, horse boots, tall boots, almost Everything I need for the show! Highly recommended to horse people to save tack room space b/c of many horses and/or boarders at their barn.
