Perfect
Friday, December 21, 2012This item was perfect for my use. As soon as it was installed I could feel the temperature go up in the upstairs. I feel alot less drafts when I spend time in the master bedroom. Really easy to install.
really easy to install
Keeps Out the Draft
Tuesday, November 27, 2012I upgraded the shipping to 3 day for a couple of dollars extra. The product arrived the next day. Great performance on the delivery. The product fit over the air conditioner OK except for the depth. It wasn't sealing very well. I went to my local hardware store and bought self adhesive window & door sealing tape. I applied this to the perimeter of the box. It sealed the gap, no problem. No more cold draft coming in & more importantly, no warm air escaping out.
It does the job it's intended to do. Price was reasonable.
It could use a little more depth, but a little Yankee Ingenuity fixed that. Also, longer screws & heavier duty clips would be nice.
Great Item!
Wednesday, January 04, 2012This is a very effective wind and cold air block for thru-the-wall air conditioners. You mount it on the inside instead of the outside which eliminates condensation inside the a/c unit. The item is plastic with a foam layer on the a/c unit side. The foam means it is tight against the wall. These stack inside each other for storage (which a landlord with 12 apartments really likes)!
Easy to mount on wall. Tenants can do it themselves. Really keeps the cold out
It could include a mounting device which can be removed from the wall during the summer, or is not so obvious
Perfect Fit
Wednesday, February 16, 2011This is exactly what I have been looking for. I was a little skeptical about making holes in my wall with the turnscrews, but they weren't even necessary. With all the foam padding on the inside of the cover, it slid right over my AC like a glove. It works perfectly in preventing cool air from coming through. I already recommended it to a friend & will continue to do so.
Everything
Good Product
Tuesday, November 30, 2010A simple product that does the job intended. Everything came with to install. The install is simple and after install removing and replacing the cover is easy.
Fit is a little tight, I had to remove the AC trim piece when the cover is in place. I also thought that the instructions should have given the pilot drill size for the wall screw inserts
No More Draft!
Monday, November 29, 2010This certainly does the trick and fits the wall A/C snug. However, the clips are doing the trick but I am concerned they will break. A redesign of the clips to make them invisible would be nice. My work also has similar covers but just screws then in the sides right into the wall.
No draft
Clips are visible
The Product Review
Monday, November 08, 2010It does the job on covering your AC hole but its very big and wide and the clips dont fully secure the cover to the wall.
It didn't break
More, smaller and better clips
