Description
- Single-point 2-1/2" dust collection port on all models except 2LKR5, 2LKR6, and 16W005. 1FYX2 includes stand and quench pot. All units include eyeshields, adjustable tool rest, and 2 grinding wheels (36-grit and 60-grit), except 2LKR5 which includes one 36-grit wheel and one wire brush. Grinder packages include grinder, wheel dresser, and stand with quench pot.

1HP Dayton Bench Grinder Review
Friday, May 13, 2011This beast of a grinder is even better than I hoped. What really sold me was the built in dust collection ports integrated into the housings. I welded spark diverters that attach to pre-tapped holes on the bottom of the cast iron housing. Then I made a shop made water spark trap with a 15 gallon metal barrel that attaches to my dust collector. This grinder is the smoothest, most vibration free, quietest grinder I have ever used. And with my diverters/trap I am collecting approximately 95% of metal/wheel particles. The aluminum tool rests are also excellent in materials and function. I also like the slower speed of 1800rpm. 10" wheels are moving plenty fast at that rpm, so I was willing to sacrifice cutting speed for control and less heat. I could not be happier with my choice. I ordered it on a Friday afternoon and was delivered the following Tuesday. Whaaaa?
