yes
Could have low end adjustment like 6 amp unit
It works pretty well
Wednesday, November 03, 2010I installed this with the Broan 508 wall exhaust fan. The 508 is very loud on high, so the variable control is a relief to keep the sound down. When you turn the knob it starts from high and as you turn goes lower. My main complaint is that beyond a quarter of a turn, the fan is so low that the damper shuts (held open by the force of air) and the air flow bounces back and into the house. So 75% of the speed control is useless (unless I get rid of the damper or make the reflex to close less strong). This is only a problem with a fan with this kind of damper.
That I don't have to run the fan at high speed all the time.
A verticle slide would have been better
