The right size for me since it is fine and falls through 223 cases. Just put a used sheet or 2 of dryer sheets and it will take the dust and dirt with them.

Good brass cleaning media

I bought a bag of the 14/20 corn media after reading suggestions on a couple reloading sites. So far I'm really happy with it after running 10,000 .308 cases through it. I make my own case polish out of a little watered down Turtle Wax and then after that dries I add a cap-full of odorless mineral spirits. Not sure if the mineral spirits is really necessary but it seems to help keep the dust down. The media works as well as the dedicated store bought stuff I got years ago, although the particle size is slightly smaller and there's more "fluff" pieces that tend to be affected by static cling. This makes it a bit messier and more gets on the floor, but at this price I don't care if I'm losing some. The price is great and mine was delivered the next day at no cost.

I bought this product for tumbling brass on another reloader's recommendation. It's the perfect size. It doesn't get caught in primer pockets or flash holes. It also isn't dusty even for the small size. I ordered at about 2 pm edt on a Tuesday and expected delivery Friday. Was I ever surprised when it arrived the very next day via UPS. Talk about service. Exactly what I hoped for

I stumbled onto this product via a reloading forum and it is by far the best tumbling material I have used. The size is perfect for cleaning cases with the primers already removed, nothing gets stuck in the flash hole. When you are in the habit of buying the packaged material from gun stores, seeing the price of this product almost seems too good to be true.

Shipping was wicked fast! Perfect grit for flowing thru primer flash holes of brass casings. I used to go to the local Grainger and get the same stuff but this is so much easier and in the long run cheaper (no fuel, no tax, no time). Drillspot is outstanding!

Corncob for reloaders

10/16/12 Compared to the stuff marketed to reloaders the price is definitely right, especially with free shipping. 40 lbs is a LOT of corncob, though. The 14-20 size is very finely ground and a little dusty compared to the "reloading" kind I'm used to, about the same size as ground walnut. Haven't tried adding liquid Flitz as I do with the walnut but plain it buffs cases to a very nice shine as a second tumble after polishing with walnut. And no more poking pieces of cob out of the flash holes! This stuff flows right through. I'm pleased.

Excellent For Polishing Brass Cases At a Great Price

I needed corn cob media for polishing used brass cases for reloading ammo. I use ground walnut shell to clean the heavy stuff off but needed something to actually polish them up. This worked great. I added a little polishing compound to it and within 2 hours had bright shiny brass. Large enough to not turn to dust after one use, yet small enough to clean out large primer pockets and not plug up all the cases. At this price you just cannot go wrong. I will recommend this to all my friends on the reloading forums.

Great Brass Tumbler Media

This media works great in my tumbler to clean and polish brass for reloading. I also add about 0.2 ounce of NuFinish and mineral spirits (3:1 blend) to the media and the brass comes out looking like mirrors.

Econoline Corn Cob Media 14/20 Perfect for Reloaders!

Best deal going on tumbler polishing media. It is un-treated but add a little of your favorite brass polish (ammonia free) and clean away. By far the best product at the best price from the best seller with the best delivery! Now....if they would just get walnut media we would be in business! Corn cob works great for light cleaning and final polish but walnut is a little better and more aggressive for tarnish or cleaning mud off or brass or links. I use this media to clean .50 BMG brass in a Dillon vibratory tumbler. I often get mud on the brass and links at the shoots and the corn cob does a good job cleaning that but it is really great for cleaning off sizing lube and final polish after sizing and trimming. Anyway, good stuff at a great price! Oh, grain size is right for smaller stuff too, I use this for everything from 223, 9mm, 45, 308, 30-06 and .50

Corn Cob 14/20

Read about his on a forum. Bought for polishing pistol brass. Corn cob lasts a while but the shooting supply companies prices on this are really high, especially if you add in shipping. I have a 7 or 8 gal bucket so I put it in this. At least now I can change it more often. Makes you wonder why some companies are charging so much. Its a by-product. The profit margin must be very high. Ordered online friday and received it on monday. You can't do much better that that and with free shipping. Slightly finer than some but not a problem at all. Works great with some liquid polish. It's a definite YES buy.

The quality of the corn cob media was excellent and polishes my brass extremely well. It is the same if not better quality than the Brand name stuff at gun stores. The price was OUTSTANDING, $26 shipped for 40 Lbs! At my local shop, corn cob media is about $18 for a container that weighs 6 LBS. My only wish is that it would come shipped in a plastic container of some sort but for the price I didn't mind going to the store and buying a storage bin for a couple bucks. Good Brass Polish

I mixed 4 parts Nu Finish with 1 part mineral spirits. I was surprised at the small size of the cob. Not a problem it works great. Cleaned my brass in a vibrating tumbler. Half the price I would pay at the sporting goods shops.

Reloading Brass Polish

Works great! Particles are much smaller size than the other specific reloading brass polishing media I had been buying (for A LOT more money, mind you). This is a good thing since it doesn't clog into the primer flash holes as much. I added a little Nu Polish. It does make some dust, but not bad. It really works well. I am totally pleased. Fast, fast shipping.

Just Works

This stuff gets rifle brass super clean. Most folks add some type of polish mixed with mineral spirits. I didn't have any on hand so tried it as is. The brass came out bright and clean. It didn't quite have the highly polished luster of the other stuff though. Some mineral spirits mixed with some polish will fix that and I don't have to pick out flash holes anymore. the shipping is first rate and fast. In fact it's faster than other companies who charge for shipping. I will order more but since 40 pounds will LAST A LONG TIME, I don't know when. Thanks for a great product and great service.

Brass Polishing

Saw the reference to this item on one of the gun forums. Said use with a couple of caps of NuFinish dissolved in a couple of tablespoons of mineral spirits. Combination works very well. Very little particulate gets stuck in the flash hole and none that I can tell in the body.

Brass Tumblers Will Like This Product!

This is just right for polishing brass cartridge cases in your tumbler. You're still better off with walnut for cleaning brass that's been rained on or has a lot of dried grit inside and outside, but this corncob media is just right for polishing.
