Coolant-Fed Spade Drill Holders and Coolant Glands
- For use in most alloy, carbon, free-machining, stainless, and tool steels, aluminum, gray cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Accommodates a range of blade sizes with just a few holders compared to inventories required for indexable drills and steel taper shank drills. All holders are manufactured with both the option of through-the-spindle cooling or with a rotary coolant gland. Flood coolant is not recommended, but can be used for very short hole depths, less than 1" dia. Through coolant must be used with spade drill depths greater than 1" dia. 2XYY1, 2XYY2, 2XYY3 are used in Bridgeport machines that require a R-8 taper holder.
