- Level A garment design provides the highest level of protection from liquid splash and vapor/gas exposures for both the wearer and respiratory equipment. Feature gas-tight 40 mil PVC/PTFE 5 mil/20 mil PVC faceshield, expanded back for SCBA respirator, 2 exhaust valves, front zipper with double storm flap and hook-and-loop closure, internal adjustment belt, attached gloves, knee wear pads, and outer boot flaps. Attached socks must be worn inside protective footwear. Extra barrier material sewn at knees and over taped for added abrasion resistance when kneeling or crawling. Tychem TK EX Ensembles Level A garment G9235, 2RKU8, 2RKU9, G9236, 2RKV4, and 2RKV5 are Certified to NFPA 1994, Class 2 standard on Protective Ensembles for First Responders to CBRN Terrorism Incidents by an independent third party certification organization. Class 2 garments are designed for situations where there is an immediate danger to life and health (IDLH) and must be worn with a self-contained breathing appartus (SCBA). This is the highest level of protection under the NFPA 1994 standard.
