T-15 Powdered-Metal High Speed Steel
- Recommended for replacing HSS twist drills; when rigidity of the machine or fixture requires a more forgiving, durable tool; or for applications requiring hole depths up through 15X to 20X diameter. Provide straight, consistent holes with superior surface finishes. Titanium nitride (TiN) coating gives longer tool life and added lubricity. Titanium aluminum nitride (TiAlN) coating is a multilayer mixed-phase coating for high-speed machining in alloy steels, high-temperature alloys, gray cast iron and titanium.
