12" Air King Wall Fan
Friday, February 08, 2013The fan is more-or-less what I expected. I was planning on mounting it in my bedroom to replace my 12" stand fan, but can tell that it will be too noisy once mounted, primarily from wall vibration, as well as extending out from the wall farther than I would like for the location I chose. However, it seems to be a great little fan and I hope I will be able to mount it on my patio in the summer.

Tuesday, October 16, 2012The Air King fans I purchased from Drillspot are great and by far the most affordable anywhere. The shipment arrived in no time. I highly recommend Drillspot!
It is very non-descriptive, so it is well hidden once hung on the wall. The turn radius is amazing.
I wish it were a bit more powerful. I should have purchased a larger size, but Air King's are usually very strong.

Thursday, August 16, 2012Simple installation. Not anymore noisy than other fans I own. Switch pull cord is nice addition although I have it on a switch controlled socket. Highly recommended if you need a wall-mounted fan.

Tuesday, July 10, 2012Easy to install and operates smooth but started to squeak when going right to left. Works good but I am much more pleased with the 18in. I purchased. Lots of air flow. Both sizes are mounted facing downward at about a 30 degree angle. This is not adjustable on either size.

Friday, June 22, 2012Good price, as quiet as any similar table fan, except vibration will transmit into the walls through the mount. I think I will try to cushion it with some neoprene between the fan and the wall, see if that reduces the transmission of vibration. Before purchasing I saw comments about limited up-down (vertical) aiming. I think the problem is that it is DIFFICULT to adjust up or down; I had to push so hard I thought I might break it, and when it moved it made a sound like something breaking. I have pointed it down two notches, and I don't know how much farther it will go without breaking. I will attempt to loosen the bolt that is behind the decorative covers to see if that makes it easier to adjust up and down, and if it does, re-tighten the bolt. Table fans have a thumb-screw that facilitates this, and this fan would definitely benefit from that feature. If you are going to mount a fan on a wall, you definitely must be able to point it down.
Price, easy to mount, no more noisy than a similar table fan, it keeps me cool without taking up floor-space or table-space, easy to remove in off-season (I will cover the bracket with something decorative!)
See my comments (above) about difficult vertical adjustment. If I am successful in further adjustments I will return and edit this review. It is not particularly attractive or decorative, and I would have preferred one of those hard-to-find "old-timey" wall fans, but they are much too expensive!

Tuesday, March 20, 2012Nice fan from a reputable company. I was expecting a better quality but maybe got carried away by their reputation. For the money a nice wall mountable fan.
It mounts to the wall easily. Also it is powered by a pull cord as well
The box came mangled. The fan housing was cracked, Drill Spot was fine with sending me another one but I just wanted it installed and once put together you couldn't tell. Hope it holds up.

Wednesday, April 13, 2011These fans work great. The packaging is not very secure inside so you will get a lot of movement in the box but nothing was damaged. Make sure the inside ring is tight or you may experience some vibration. Tighten it and it does stop. Does what it should and was shipped very fast.

I had a problem with one of the fan blades breaking and I asked for information regarding replacing the blade and the company replaced the entire fan!! WOW!! Don't get that kind of customer service now-a-days.

Powerful for its size. Its wall mount bracket is designed well to support the weight of the fan as well as being able to turn the fan on and off with the attached stricng without worry of pulling it off the wall.
More adjustable in the up/down positions.

Monday, November 01, 2010While I would have preferred that the fan be ceiling mounted to avoid the bracket on the wall, I am very pleased. Fans without the bracket are 10 times the price and offer no more air. These fans are pwerful enough to cool off each bedroom.

For me, this item is compact and with the three speed and tilt feature it works great in the kitchen.

Tuesday, August 24, 2010There are few wall mount products in this price range and this one is ok, but considering it's size, it should move more air. We have it mounted in a small travel trailer and you can just barely feel the breeze 8 feet from the fan. We have a 9 inch fan in the bedroom and it moves more air than this 12 inch.
