Thursday, January 03, 2013I ordered this for my hubby for Christmas, several of his friends have them and we have enjoyed LOTS of yummy smoked briskets, pork butts, tenderloins, and turkey breasts in this amazing cooker. Truly amazing how quickly this thing cooks all kinds of meat and how moist everything turns out. Now he's even talking about tasking ME out to cooking, he says it's that easy. HA!

Tuesday, December 11, 2012My brother-in-law told me about the cooker. It's too easy. Makes cooking outside a pleasure. I've cooked pork loin, pork sirloin, and chichen so far. I've got a turkey, ham and deer that I'm getting ready to try. Just wish I had a place to buy bulk charcoal cheap, it takes a lot.
Ease of cooking, taste and juiciness of the meat. Doesn't dry the meat out like most smokers.
Cheap, bulk charcoal. Takes a large bag every time you cook.

Tuesday, December 11, 2012The Orion Cooker is exactly as described. It is a great value. I have only used it once, but I cooked the ribs for the exact time listed in the directions and they were perfect! First time i ever cooked ribs and can't wait to cook on it again. The only negative I have is that you use quite a bit of charcoal. Definitely better for cooking for larger groups.

Tuesday, November 27, 2012This was an awesome purchase, very juicy and tasty Turkey. Cooked perfect everytime. I cooked 3 birds in 1 week.
estimation time was way off it stated a Thursday and I got it the next week Monday. The estimated date was given before I completed the order and once done it showed me Monday instead of Thurs.

Tuesday, November 13, 2012I was introduced to the Orion Convection Cooker at a friend's house. I almost immediately ordered one for myself and a week ago smoked a 7# Boston butt. I followed the instructions in the Orion recipe book and only used a rub of salt, pepper, and garlic salt. I put the butt in the cooker along with some mesquite chips, and loaded and lit the charcoal. I wanted to do more, but the instructions said to walk away and come back in 3 hours and 15 minutes. That's what I did and the results were stupendous! I gave my friend half of the Boston butt for introducing me to this great smoker. Now I'm getting ready to smoke a turkey. I couldn't be more pleased!

Tuesday, May 15, 2012My mother bought this for me at Christmas and I've used it about a half dozen times. This thing is amazing and the meat it cooks is some of the most tender and juicy meals I've ever had and it cooks in a fraction of the time. The unit is solid and incredibly easy to clean. Great for family reunions and parties, as you start it up, throw your meals in it and let it go until the necessary time. No worries.

Thursday, December 30, 2010Received my Orion and fixed six sides of ribs. My dinner guests claimed they were the most moist and tender ribs that they ever experienced. This is a great product and is the best cooker that I have ever owned and I have four others. You have to try one of these and you will be sold on this type of cooker and will become an Orion prophet.
The quick times for cooking and no worry cooking. You can spend time socializing and less worry about your cooking

Friday, December 17, 2010I purchased a new Orion Cooker before Thanksgiving. I have used it twice and both times It worked well. I love the smoked flavor of the turkeys!
The convenience of putting in the bird and forgetting it.
I always have left over briquets when I am done. They don't all burn! At $13 a bag, they are expensive.

Seems sturdy
Cleanup of the interior is not very easy and the drip pan isn't really large enough to handle six racks of ribs

Thursday, October 28, 2010This is a great convection cooker, our food was fantastic, moist and delicious but the best thing is that you don't have any flair ups with the indirect heat. You just fill it, light it and forget it. I have already recommended it to many of my friends and relatives.

Wednesday, October 27, 2010So what do you do with the oil after frying a turkey! The turkey I made with this was just wonderful and no messy and dangerous oil to contend with. I can't wait to try some of the other recipes! It was indeed more than I wanted to spend, but I don't regret a penny, worth every one I spent! I am really not the kind of person who rights reviews either, but this is one of those few times I was really satisfied with a product and thought you should know!
