Description
- Series 4000
- Bear-Tex convolute wheels are formed by wrapping and bonding nonwoven nylon web impregnated with abrasive grain around a center core. Higher-density wheels (8-9) last longer, cut faster, and produce finer finishes. Lower-density wheels (6-7) are more conformable and resist loading and burning. Silicon carbide abrasive is sharper, cuts faster, and produces finer scratch patterns. Aluminum oxide abrasive is more durable and lasts longer.
- Use for heavy deburring applications.
- Use coarser grit for deburring and blending Use finer grit for polishing and finishing
- Metal Finishing
- Use for a wide range of applications from heavy burr removal to cleaning rust and oxides. Dense, premium, medium-grit aluminum oxide grain has durable web, strong resin binders, and uniform grain dispersion/coating. Provide uniform, distinct satin and antique finishes. Clean and condition without gouging or changing dimension of the workpiece. Ideal for blending and matching 3- and 4-mil finishes. Prepare surfaces for buffing, polishing, or applying decorative finishes.
