No More Dust!Friday, April 06, 2012
Worked great! My customer said I did a great instal, nice and neat!
I could see what I was doing, fully adjustable, and no dust or mess
Putting back in case was a pain, had to be adjusted just right
Wow!Wednesday, March 28, 2012
Bought for recessed light project in occupied apartments. Went through the drywall fast and captured all the dust. Just remember the collector is full of dust and don't put your arm down. Very embarrassing!
Great as is
Works, But Tough on PlasterWednesday, November 30, 2011
Carbide blade worked on 5/8" thick plaster ceiling with 5/8" drywall backing, but only cut 3 holes with one set of blades. Ordered 2 more sets of blades to finish job.
Should come with the vacuum adapter in the kit
Make the Investment, Your Time is Worth It!Wednesday, November 23, 2011
This drill is a great investment. I have used the other standard circular 4" drill hole bit and it eventually got dull, snagged and made a giant mess. The x-230 worked as promised, I cut 12 holes in about an hour. The ceiling had a layer of drywall, then lathe and plaster. The x-230 cut thru the drywall first, I removed it, then continued on thru the next layers. The dust guard really kept the debris down to a minimum.
The dust/debris collector made it possible to keep the work area very free of dirt
Seems a bit on the expensive side, but after using it, time saved= money saved

Just use it once so far to cut in a hole for a 6" can light into a plaster ceiling; I was done in a couple of minutes, leaving a clean hole with little dust. The case is a nice addition as well (I love having a case for every tool).
Nothing I can see so far
