Restrictions
- Note: Switching glove colors assures all gloves are in the proper test11 cycle per OSHA and ASTM requirements. Every time a new pair of gloves is used, the colors need to be alternated. Alternate colors by using 1 color for the first test11 period and a different color for the second test11 period. Example: Red Class 00 gloves are worn for first test11 cycle period, then Black Class 00 gloves are worn during the second test11 cycle period. Class 1, 2, and 3 gloves feature an exterior and interior color for easier inspection of tears.
Rubber Insulating Gloves
- Protect against electrical shock. Gloves should be test11ed every 6 months in accordance with ASTM F496, "Standard Specification for In Service Care of Insulating Gloves and Sleeves" at an authorized safety equipment test11ing facility. Black and red gloves are Type I natural rubber. Blue gloves are Type II Salcor ozone-resistant rubber.
