UV Light Water Sterilizers
- All sterilizers use ultraviolet light instead of chemicals to protect against waterborne bacteria. Electronic ballasts and efficient quartz sleeve design ensure maximum UV output. Lamps can be changed without interrupting water flow. 30 mJ /cm2 exposure, except 40 mJ /cm2 for Cactus and Upstream models; 55 mJ /cm2for Hallett models. 5RED3 and 5RED4 reduce e-coli; cryptosporidium, giardia, and legionella cysts; and most viruses to safe levels. Lamp ON indicator shows lamps are energized. Air-cooled lamps, antifouling system, and elliptical reflectors increase efficiency. 5RED5 and 5RED6 have an automatic 316 SS self-cleaning feature, digital monitor, and audible and visual alarms.
