Description
The Honeywell TH5110D1022 is a digital non-programmable thermostat with one of the largest, and brightest, backlit displays in its class. This FocusPRO is not only easy-to-see, its also easy-to-use with simple soft-key controls and features an easy change battery door that flips out allowing for easy battery replacement without removing or disassembling the thermostat. Precise comfort control maintains consistent comfort to the highest level of accuracy (+/- 1 degree Fahrenheit). Premier white housing goes with any decor.
The Honeywell TH5110D1022 works with any system type, be it gas, oil, electric, heat pump, forced air, hot water, steam or gravity (up to 1 Heat/1 Cool conventional systems and heat pumps with no auxiliary heat). Provides electronic control of 24 volt conventional and heat pump systems or 750 millivolt heating systems. Unit has selectable automatic or manual changeover. Thermostat is dual powered by battery and/or hardwire. Includes horizontally mounting subbase and two (2) AAA batteries.
DrillSpot also carries thermostat cover plates compatible with the FocusPRO 5000 as well as universal thermostat cover plates for use with the FocusPRO 5000 or 6000.

Non-programmable Thermostat

Put Your Glasses On!
Tuesday, May 31, 2011I did my research and read all the technical specifications for the product, so I knew just what I was getting. The only thing one would not know from reading the specs is the size of the letters and numbers (an “actual size” picture would have made the description perfect). The numbers and letters, aside from the current room temperature, are much smaller than I thought they would be. There is lots of wasted screen space, so they could have been made larger. I bought this model as it was the “largest” display in this category—I’d hate to see (or not see) the regular size. Drillspot delivered promptly as promised—could have used some bubble wrap or wadded newspaper inside their box. The thermostat rattled around inside the larger box, and it is a rather delicate item. Downloading the PDF files for the installation was nice as I was set to go when it arrived. I also downloaded the Owner’s Manual so we knew how to operate it. The backlit display is very dim with new batteries and it is a little dark to read without the backlight display in a hallway unless you turn on a light. It a nutshell—brighter and larger would have made this product perfect. Indigo lighting would have been sweet. On feature that would be nice is a button to push to light the backlight display screen instead of one of the temperature buttons.

Monday, March 14, 2011Got this stat for my wife's grandma. She's almost blind and had to use magnifying glass to read previous stat. Now, if she's close enough, she can read this one. I wish I'd known that it came with a back plate. I ordered the additional large one expecting to need to cover the paint from 30 years ago behind the stat I removed. Ended up using the smaller one, which was just right. She seems happy with it. Seems to work fine (after configuring the stat). Simple to install. Easy to use.

Maybe I overlooked it, but I didn't see that back plate was included. I could've save a few buck not ordering something I didn't need.
