How do You Open it to replace the Batteries?
Ease of OperationTuesday, September 27, 2011
I bought this for my 92 year old mom, who lives by herself. Got a new boiler installed and also thought it was time to replace the 60 year old thermostat. I wanted to get something easy for her to operate since she gets confused easily. This is the one. One button with up arrow for more heat, one button with down arrow for less. She has no Central AC, so this was very easy for her to operate.
Big numbers for her to see and ease of operation
If it stayed lit all the time, rather than when you push one of the buttons. The light goes off too quickly.

I like the ability to view both room and set temperature simultaneously, that there's no need for batteries except for backup purposes, and that the price is reasonable. However, depending on your previous thermostat, it may be necessary to run an extra wire to avoid the need for batteries.
