Check Application Compatability Before PurchasingSaturday, February 04, 2012
I bought this sensor so I could lockout the auxilliary heating stage of a geothermal heat pump. According to Honeywell's literature the sensor would allow me to configure the HZ432 zone control system to select an outdoor temperature to lock out the 2nd or 3rd stage. Unfortuanetly, it locks out both stages. Honeywell tech support confirmed this but has not updated their installation manuals. So if you plan on using this with any Honeywell wireless thermostats check with tech support prior to purchasing. This is not a DrillSpot issue.
It should work with Honeywell wireless thermostats as stated in their literature
Great SensorFriday, December 09, 2011
Sensor installed easily and works great. Matched up with the Honeywell IAQ and my present HVAC system. DrillSpot has the best price on the net.
Temp readout on the thermostat
Sensor leads should be more like 15' to 20' and not just 5'
