Humidistat That Actually Works
Tuesday, July 24, 2012I have two dehumidifiers in my home. Both have humidistat controls that stick in the "on" mode. I have purchased three replacements from the manufacturer and they all have the same problem. The Honeywell H46C1166 actually works and cost half as much. Much to my surprise, the calibration is even fairly good. The only remaining question is longevity and only time will tell.

Price was reasonable and it came from a reputable company
Installation onto wall was a bit tricky as you needed to use a back plate that they said was only used with electric boxes

Tuesday, January 17, 2012It is going to be hard to review this unit. I have not installed it yet but my friend and lawyer got one for his home in Florida and it saves big bucks on AC in the summer when he is away. So I have the same thing going for me and I got one.
It can stop the home from getting moldy in the summer when we are away
Could use a upgrade to digital read out

Thursday, April 14, 2011Great product, easy to install despite the instructions!! An absolute requirement for snowbirds...set it to have the AC kick on at a certain humidity level while you're away, and it will keep the house humidity low so clothes and carpets don't get all musty!
The ease of use, one dial, no digital stuff
The installation instructions are a bit difficult for a novice to understand
