Intermittent Pilot Ignition Systems and Conversion KitsConvert conventional standing pilot systems to intermittent pilot systems. 4E397 has 60-sec. max. lockout time, and shutoff is 100% after 3 trials for ignition. 4E396 has no max. lockout time with continuous trial for ignition and is not 100% shutoff. 1TGE4 is 100% shutoff with 90-sec. max. ignition trial; continuous retry. 2RNY1 and 2RNY2 have 100% shutoff after ignition trial; continuous retry after 5-min. purge.

Wednesday, December 12, 2012I needed this pilot conversion kit to replace one that was already in my furnace. Aside from a few slight design changes, it went in after a false start or two and is now working like a champ!
The fact that it was essentially a direct replacement for what I already had.
