For those that don't know, these P100 filters (which is respirator filter spec for HEPA filters), are 99.97% effective against all filter particulates down to .3 microns. I contacted 3M and expressed my need for a filter that filters out cigarette smoke and dust, as well as odors. They recommended this filter. We've been using these GMA filters for probably 20 years. No, they don't last nearly that long, and while I cannot prove that they absorb all the poisons MSA says they do, neither of us can smell anything when wearing the mask and filter.
